Worshipful Master 2012-2013

It is very interesting to watch the world try to puzzle out what we are. Truly, Freemasonry is an extremely multi-faceted "experience". It is not a religion, but it is spiritual. It is not a fraternity in the sense of a limited, one dimensional college fraternity. Masonic relationships are life long and center on great principles. Its language is symbol and metaphor. It is a society with secrets, but the "secrets" that are obtainable in a moment's search on the Internet are NOT the secrets of Freemasonry.

The secret of Freemasonry can only be perceived by "experiencing" all of its "facets": over countless lodge meetings, sharing the opening and closing, the teaching of the degrees, mulling philosophically alone or with Brethren, and finally realizing the transformation that has gradually crept up on you. Freemasonry is a deep pursuit; the kind humans devoted their lives to, before they were mesmerized to distraction by the mundane. The secret will never be revealed to one who has not walked a masonic path and worked in the "quarries".

This month, join several Brethren who are about to take the next step in their masonic journey. Experience it with them.

Sincerely and Fraternally
W.Bro. Gord Echlin
